Job Description
ENTRY LEVEL:

Training will last a minimum of 6 weeks for ENTRY LEVEL candidates
$200/day while in training (avg weekly gross of $1k)
Trained locally with Meijer
After the Entry level training is completed –

Pay:

Mixture of local & regional deliveries – 2 pay tiers will be paid
75% loads are regional – When doing regional runs (200+ miles from origin to destination):0.54 cpm (avg 2500-2700 miles/wk)Increases to 0.555 CPM at 1 year
Increases to 0.57 CPM at 3 years
$20/stop
25% loads are local – less than 200 miles from origin to destination)Starting at 0.645 cpm????Increases to 0.655 CPM at 1 year
Increases to 0.665 CPM at 3 years????
$30/stop
Other Pay:

Detention – $13/hr after 2 hours
Breakdown – $13/hr after 2 hours up to $150 for the day depending on the breakdown type
Drivers will receive $100/week to help compensate for unexpected situationsDrivers will receive the above salary added to their check for the number of days worked in a week
Drivers must show up on time and be available to run legal/safe loads and they must check in prior to departing to ensure they are no longer needed for the day to receive this compensation
Position Details:

Drivers will make daily deliveries to 40 Meijer stores in IL (no downtown Chicago), Northern IN, MI (including Upper Peninsula) and WI. Including shuttles between 2 distribution facilities in Lansing & Pleasant Prairie
Drivers will be expected to pickup backhauls back to Lansing, MI (approx 85% drop and hook)
Chicago suburb runs are the main activity on the account (but nothing in the city of Chicago), 85-90% of runs go there from both Pleasant Prairie & Lansing
Outbound store shipments are drop and hook from the DC and at the delivery locations
No Touch Freight
Slip seating is only required during mandatory services
Trucks will stay at the account during home time
lunch is provided during orientation
Additional pay:
– Drivers should expect to be on the account a minimum
of 12 months before being able to transfer accounts.
– Training will be 6 weeks.
– Our Military Exception candidates will train for 4 weeks.
– Training pay will be $200-250 a day, your Account Manager will explain the
exact amount.
Shift details:
– Out on average 2 nights/week
– Start Time Options: 0100, 0600, 1800, 2200
– 2 consecutive days off – not necessarily on the weekend
– Variety of routes/shifts available once the driver has worked on the account for a period of time
– 7 paid days off in their first year (7 PTO days)
– After 1st year, drivers get 10 paid days off (10 PTO days)
– Expected to work some holidays if they fall on their regularly scheduled workday
