Job Summary

The Long-Haul Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating trucks over long distances, delivering freight on time, and maintaining excellent service standards. Pay is based on safe driving and adherence to company policies, with opportunities for guaranteed weekly pay based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Safely: Operate trucks following all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Deliver Freight on Time: Handle cargo carefully and meet scheduled delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate mileage logs, fuel receipts, and delivery documentation.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Perform regular vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.
  • Communicate Effectively: Coordinate with dispatch, management, and customers regarding deliveries and delays.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Prevent service failures and avoid preventable accidents.
  • Adhere to Hours-of-Service Rules: Complete routes according to regulations.
  • Represent Professionally: Maintain a professional image at all times.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with appropriate endorsements.
  • Minimum of 3 months long-haul driving experience preferred.
  • Clean driving record with no preventable accidents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Schedule

  • Full Schedule: 22 days out of 28 days per month (allows for 6 days home time per month).
  • Routes: Multi-day trips across state lines may be required.

Compensation

  • Guaranteed Weekly Gross Pay: Eligible drivers may earn at least $1,000 gross per week for working a full schedule with no service failures or preventable accidents.
  • Pay Includes:
    • Mileage rate: $0.40–$0.65 per mile (regular and per diem).
    • Weekly performance bonus.
  • Guarantee Details:
    • Measured over a 4-week period after 30 days of employment.
    • If average weekly pay is below $1,000, it will be adjusted to meet the guarantee.
    • Must remain employed through the payment date to receive guaranteed pay.
