Job Summary
We are hiring experienced Class A CDL drivers for a dedicated intermodal account based in Chicago, IL. This position offers daily home time, consistent night schedules, and steady freight, making it ideal for drivers who want predictable hours and reliable pay while staying close to home.
Drivers will run intermodal lanes throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Indiana, with drop-and-hook freight and no-touch loads.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on dedicated intermodal routes
Run night shifts with consistent scheduling
Transport no-touch intermodal freight
Perform frequent drop-and-hook operations
Maintain DOT compliance and safety standards
Communicate effectively with dispatch and terminal operations
Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience
No endorsements required
Must live within 25 miles of Chicago, IL (60608)
Ability to work nights and weekends as scheduled
Comfortable operating in and around Chicago traffic
Schedule & Home Time
Home Time: Daily
Shift: Night shift
Monday–Friday: 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Weekend hours: Saturday 12:00 AM – Monday 4:00 AM
Weekend Work: Yes
Holiday Work: If scheduled
Pay & Compensation
Average Weekly Pay: $1,200
Base Pay: $0.62 CPM
Load Pay: $20 per load
Weekly Mileage: ~1,800 miles
Night Differential: +$0.06 CPM
Weekend Differential: +$0.12 CPM
