Job Summary
Experienced solo drivers are needed for a dedicated Dry Van account serving Dick’s Sporting Goods out of Plainfield, IN. This is a no-touch freight position with weekly home time, consistent pay, and regional lanes across the Midwest and surrounding states. Drivers can expect steady miles, paid orientation, and a full benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
Operate as a solo, first-seat (experienced) CDL driver
Haul no-touch dry van freight for Dick’s Sporting Goods
Complete multiple-stop deliveries, including mall locations
Perform some night driving and occasional double drop-and-hook loads
Safely handle challenging backing situations
Maintain on-time delivery and strong customer service performance
Qualifications
First-seat (experienced) driver required
No endorsements or special certificates required
Must live within 75 miles of the hiring area
Hiring states: Illinois (IL) and Indiana (IN)
Must be eligible for regional driving across assigned states
Schedule
Home Time: Weekly (Out Sunday, Home Friday)
Home Reset: 34-hour restart
Shift: Combination of day and night driving
Weekend Work: Voluntary
Holiday Schedule:
Off on Thanksgiving and Christmas
Typically work every other holiday
Compensation
Weekly Pay: $1,400 – $1,500 on average
Daily Pay: $247 daily salary
Weekly Mileage: 1,400 – 2,000 miles
